You Heard It First

I have gone on about Eric Church and his shows, his music, his foundations, his family and his past so how about now we just hear from him?  One can learn a lot about him as an artist and who he respects and what he believes in by looking beyond the curtains.  The Interview part 1 can be found with very little searching.  It's worth listening to.  The cool part is a fan or anyone else interested in listening can get a feel for him.  He mentions who he respects as an artist and why. For example he mentions Bob Seger and Bruce Springsteen both because he respects how they evolved as an artist and how they created music reflecting their lives and careers through all the years and all the albums released.

Following up the previous interview,  Eric Church touches on how he feels the best music is produced and how it should be listened to.  The interview Stagecoach 2016 repeats this in a different setting, he continues to answer that the best way to listen to the albums released are on vinyl records and its a shame that mp3 versions and even CD versions are available because they are "so thin".
So lastly, in order to incorporate my needed video uploaded to Youtube I decided it would be best to ask some people a few questions regarding Eric Church and his music or organizations.  I asked each of them the same three basic questions just to make things quick and painless.  Among the questions asked were
1.  What is your favorite song by Eric Church?
2.  Have you ever seen Eric Church preform live?  If so, Where?
3.  What is most you would pay for backstage passes to one of his shows?
The following are linked responses from Youtube

2016 CMA Awards

The country music awards (CMA's) are a big deal in country music.  They only come around once a year.  All the years popular songs, albums, and artists come together and honor who did well that year.  The CMA's also include tons of live performances and events to make for one great show.  Now that you know a little bit about the CMA's, can you guess who had another big year?

This year Eric Church's new album and the songs on it were up for a lot of awards.  He was nominated to win Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and Song of the Year.  Eric's song Record Year was nominated for the awards previously listed but was not able to clinch the award.  However, his latest album, Mr. Misunderstood, won the Album of the Year Award this year.  Along with his nominations and awards Eric also preformed his song Kill A Word from his award winning Mr. Misunderstood album.

Eric Church: Where It All Began

His Journey...

Many of you may know all about the popular country artist Eric Church, but how many of you know where it all began for this country music star?  Before finding his path to fame, Eric Church was born and raised in Granite Falls, North Carolina.  The now thirty nine year old singer songwriter found his talent as a natural performer when he was only thirteen years old.  Throughout his high school career Church held multiple gigs at a local bar, and soon after received an offer for a record deal. However, he decided to turn down the record deal in order to attend college.  Church went on to earn a bachelors degree in Marketing from Appalachian State University while playing in a group called 'The Mountain Boys'.  Church had previously made a deal with his father that after he earned a college degree, he would be financed by his father in Nashville to pursue his true passion - music. Little did he know that his life would be forever changed.

Full name, Kenneth Eric Church landed his first recored deal in 2006 and managed to release his first album, Sinners Like Me, that same year. His immediate success was extraordinary. Married in 2008,   Church now lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife, Katherine Blasingame, and their two sons Boone McCoy and Tennessee Hawkins.  Eric's music is often reflective and takes fans back to where it all began.  Songs like Carolina, which include lyrics such as "I haven't seen her banks in such a long, long time" and "I carry you in my heart your memory comes over me like the dark" reflect back to where he calls home. He also wrote a song reminiscent about many of the wonderful memories he had of growing up, in a song called Give Me Back My Hometown. Eric Church may be one of the most famous country artists to date, but he will always remember where he came from, the family and friends who supported him, and pay tribute to his roots for allowing him to make this journey possible.
